Project | Films for the Forest 2015 - 2016

PROJECT BRIEF: Films for the Forest (F3) is an annual international short film challenge created by Rainforest Partnership, to raise awareness about the importance of tropical rainforests and the threats faced by the forests and their communities, through the powerful medium of films.

THE GOAL of Films for the Forest is to influence organizations, companies and individuals to become guardians of the rainforest, conscious consumers, and financial supporters of Rainforest Partnership. Film is one powerfully creative medium we have to elicit an emotional response, stimulate a shift in consciousness, and create global change.

The goal for Films for the Forest in 2015 and 2016 was to solidify the brand and solicit more film entries and event attendees at the SXSW community screening.

“Film is incredibly democratic and accessible, it’s probably the best option if you actually want to change the world, not just re-decorate it”

- Banksy
